Customer journey Etihad Airlines

I recently flew with Etihad airlines to my great satisfaction, great airline and I do prefer it to the European legacy carriers. During traveling I constantly think about customer journeys, signposting, screens. Can't help it, it goes automatically. Also on this journey to from SPL to AUH to MNL, I thought of many small improvements, just I didn't store any screenshots or pictures. I decided to take pictures on my next journey with Etihad.   The Etihad customer journey to Bangkok in pictures Yesterday I booked another flight, again with Etihad . Different destination, so the customer journey may change a little (for example a "fit to fly certificate" is not needed), but I decided to make screenshots of all touch points until I have reached my destination. Email newsletter on global e-commerce and marketing

Free newsletter on global retail & e-commerce I read a lot, really a lot on e-commerce, marketing, advertising, AI and technology, but I didn't had a way of sharing the best content I read. It's not really suitable in blog format and spamming everyone at LinkedIn is also not a very hospitable way. But now I started a substack (free of course). It's my place to share interesting content, just doing this for fun to share knowledge and to improve cross-border and cultural understanding.  I call it "AlexNews". E-commerce - email communication after purchases

I have collected a few recent examples from online communication after some online purchases. Examples are mostly in Dutch. But I will explain the pro's and con's in English. Still I think (and I wrote about it here as well) that companies can improve their (online) communication so much more. Good communication and service goes beyond a "we recommend you" e-mail. Think about all customer touchpoints, about your vision and mission and create contact moments that in the end will give you a positive ROI and customer experience that will be shared online massively. Especially (But not limited to) the travel industry can start much more effective campaigns by better segmentation and not placing every cross and upsell possibility in these one or two confirmation mails. Be there with the right content at the right time. Not everybody will book a hotel right away if they purchased a flight ticket for 5 months away! Value for the customer, value from the customer.
